Target Information
CCKBR (Cholecystokinin B receptor) is a G-protein coupled receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. This protein is a type B gastrin receptor with high affinity for both sulfated and nonsulfated CCK analogs. It is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract. A misspliced transcript variant has been observed in colorectal and pancreatic tumor cells. CCKBR expression has been reported in brain, colon, pancreas, stomach, thyroid, and various cancers.
