Chromogranin A (CHGA)는 신경내분비 분비 단백질 계열인 chromogranin/secretogranin 패밀리의 구성원입니다. 신경 및 내분비 세포의 분비소포에서 발견되며, vasostatin, pancreastatin, parastatin의 전구체 역할을 합니다. 이들 펩타이드는 신경내분비 시스템의 자가 및 주변 음성 조절 인자로 작용합니다. CHGA는 카르시노이드 종양, 갈색세포종, 부신외종양 및 기타 신경내분비 종양의 우수한 마커로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 Chromogranin A와 neuron specific enolase (NSE)의 공발현은 신경내분비 신생물에서 흔하게 관찰됩니다.
