Target Information
The nuclear protein p100 is a proliferation-associated protein expressed during cell cycle phases S, G2, and M. It localizes to the spindle pole and mitotic spindle during mitosis and is distributed throughout the nucleus during S and G2 phases. The full-length cDNA encodes a 747-amino acid protein with a putative ATP/GTP-binding motif. Strong expression is observed in lung carcinoma cell lines but not in normal lung tissues. Expression is also found in adult placenta, skeletal muscle, thymus, testis, small intestine, and fetal brain, liver, and kidney. p100 expression correlates with cancer prognosis.
