- In ELISAs, this antibody shows 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IGFBP-5 and no cross-reactivity with other IGFBPs or IGFs.
- In Western blots, no cross-reactivity with rhIGFBP-1, -2, -3, -4, -6, or -7.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The insulin-like growth factor-binding proteins (IGFBPs) are a family of homologous proteins that co-evolved with IGFs. They regulate IGF bioavailability and distribution, and also exhibit IGF-independent biological activities.
Seven IGFBPs have been identified, differing in tissue distribution and IGF interaction modulation.
IGFBP5 is secreted by myoblasts and may play a key role in muscle differentiation.
