Product Specific Information
The Y253F mutation was confirmed by LC-MS/MS using trypsin digestion.
For maximum recovery, spin prior to use.
Aliquots of 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes are not recommended; use material directly from original packaging.
For larger sizes, minimize freeze/thaw cycles by preparing aliquots (do not make aliquots below 20 µL).
Do not store kinase in a diluted form.
If properly stored at -80°C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Target Information
c-Abl (Abelson murine leukemia viral oncogene homolog 1, ABL1) is a 140 kDa proto-oncogene member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases.
It is involved in cell differentiation, cell division, adhesion, and stress response.
Activity is negatively regulated by the SH3 domain; deletion of SH3 converts c-Abl into an oncogene.
The t(9;22) translocation fuses BCR and c-Abl genes, commonly found in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).
c-Abl’s DNA-binding activity is regulated by CDC2-mediated phosphorylation, linking it to cell cycle control.
The oncogene is implicated in 90–95% of CML, 20–25% of adult ALL, and 2–5% of pediatric ALL.
c-Abl localizes to dynamic actin structures and phosphorylates CRK, CRKL, DOK1, and other cytoskeletal regulators.
It may also regulate DNA repair by activating proapoptotic pathways when DNA damage is irreparable.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
