Target Information
Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK) belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily and is vital for brain development. Mutations, rearrangements, and amplifications in the ALK gene have been identified in various tumors, including anaplastic large cell lymphoma, neuroblastoma, and non-small cell lung cancer. Chromosomal rearrangements often result in the NPM-ALK fusion gene, which produces an oncogenic protein. ALK is a receptor tyrosine kinase with transmembrane and extracellular domains, showing high similarity to LTK, and plays a key role in neuronal development and function.
