Western blot analysis of PA1-139 detects an approximately 73 kDa protein in HeLa cells. PA1-139 shows specificity to GADD34 and can be blocked by incubating with an abundance of the immunizing peptide.
Target Information
This gene belongs to a group whose transcript levels increase following stressful growth arrest and DNA-damaging treatments. Induction by ionizing radiation occurs in certain cell lines regardless of p53 status, and its protein response correlates with apoptosis following ionizing radiation.
