This antibody has specificity for Human MECOM.
Target Information
EVI1 (MECOM) is a transcriptional regulator and oncoprotein involved in hematopoiesis, apoptosis, development, cell differentiation, and proliferation. It interacts with CTBP1, SMAD3, CREBBP, KAT2B, MAPK8, and MAPK9.
The EVI1 gene can translocate with the AML1 gene, leading to EVI1 overexpression and leukemia onset. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
