Target Information
EMSY is a regulator that can repress transcription, possibly via interaction with a multiprotein chromatin remodeling complex. Its association with BRCA2 suggests a role in DNA repair. As part of a histone H3-specific methyltransferase complex, EMSY may mediate ligand-dependent transcriptional activation by nuclear hormone receptors.
Diseases associated with EMSY include Sporadic Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer.
