Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene belongs to the cytidine deaminase gene family and is part of a cluster of seven related genes or pseudogenes on chromosome 22. Members of this cluster encode proteins structurally and functionally related to the C to U RNA-editing cytidine deaminase APOBEC1. These proteins may act as RNA editing enzymes and have roles in growth or cell cycle control.
A hybrid gene can result from the deletion of approximately 29.5 kb between APOBEC3B and APOBEC3A, leading to a chimeric allele with the promoter and coding region of APOBEC3A but the 3′ UTR of APOBEC3B. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
