Target Information
Putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein. PcG proteins form multiprotein complexes required to maintain transcriptional repression of homeotic genes throughout development. They act via histone methylation, altering chromatin expressibility heritably. CLNS1A is involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by ligand-bound nuclear hormone receptors such as PPARG and functions as a coactivator enhancing adipocyte differentiation-inducing activity.
