Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed samples), incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
Target Information
S100 proteins belong to the family of calcium-binding proteins such as calmodulin and troponin C.
S100A is composed of an alpha and beta chain, whereas S100B is composed of two beta chains.
S100 protein is also expressed in antigen-presenting cells such as Langerhans cells in the skin and interdigitating reticulum cells in the paracortex of lymph nodes.
