Target Information
This gene encodes one of seven subunits of the human Arp2/3 protein complex. The Arp2/3 protein complex is involved in the control of actin polymerization and is evolutionarily conserved. The p34 subunit’s exact role is not fully determined. Two alternatively spliced variants have been characterized, and additional variants have been described but their full-length forms are not yet known.
