SENP2는 새로 합성된 SUMO1, SUMO2, SUMO3를 결합 가능한 성숙 형태로 가공하고, 표적 단백질에서 이들 SUMO 단백질을 탈결합시키는 효소 그룹 중 하나입니다.
또한 SENP2는 CTNNB1 수준을 하향 조절하여 Wnt 경로를 조절할 수 있습니다.
