Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-induced signaling occurs via association of TNF receptors (TNFRs) with adaptor proteins such as TNF receptor-associated factors (TRAFs). TRAFs mediate signal transduction from TNF receptor superfamily members (e.g., RANK, CD30, CD40) and interleukin-1 receptors.
The C-terminal region of TRAFs is essential for self-association and receptor interaction following ligand-induced oligomerization. Six TRAF family members (TRAF1–TRAF6) have been identified.
TRAF5 (558 amino acids) is involved in NF-κB and c-Jun N-terminal kinase activation by TNF receptor superfamily members including CD27, CD30, CD40, and lymphotoxin-β receptor. TRAF5 gene disruption leads to defects in CD40–CD27-mediated lymphocyte activation.
