Target Information
PrBP/delta, also known as PDE6/delta, is part of the G protein-mediated signal transduction cascade in the visual system. It includes five subunits: alpha (Cone), alpha (Rod), beta (Rod), gamma (inhibitory), and delta (unknown function). PRBP/delta is implicated in the transport and membrane targeting of prenylated proteins, including PDE6, from their synthesis site in the inner segment to their final destination in the outer segment of rods and cones (Norton et al., 2005).
