Target Information

RGS14 is a member of the regulator of G-protein signaling family, containing one RGS domain, two Raf-like Ras-binding domains (RBDs), and one GoLoco domain.
It attenuates G-protein signaling by binding to activated, GTP-bound G alpha subunits and acts as a GTPase activating protein (GAP), facilitating conversion of GTP to GDP.
RGS14 also modulates microtubule polymerization and spindle organization, plays a role in cell division, and is required for NGF-mediated neurite outgrowth.
Additionally, RGS14 is implicated in stress resistance, visual memory processing, and hippocampal-based learning and memory.
