For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

SETD2 is a histone methyltransferase that specifically trimethylates Lys-36 of histone H3 (H3K36me3) using dimethylated Lys-36 (H3K36me2) as substrate. It is the main enzyme generating H3K36me3, a marker for epigenetic transcriptional activation.
SETD2 plays roles in:

• Chromatin structure modulation during elongation by coordinating recruitment of the FACT complex and interacting with hyperphosphorylated POLR2A
• Regulation of DNA mismatch repair in G1 and early S phase through recruitment of the MutS alpha complex (MSH6 subunit)
• Maintenance of heterochromatin via recruitment of DNA methyltransferase DNMT3A
• Coupling of splicing with recruitment of elongating RNA polymerase
• Angiogenesis and potential regulation of adenovirus 12 E1A gene expression upon infection
