Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of CDK6 only when phosphorylated at Tyr13.
Target Information
CDK6 functions as a cell-cycle initiator protein and is coexpressed and copurified with Cyclin D1. It plays a critical role in regulating the G1 to S phase transition of the cell cycle. CDK6 is essential for cell proliferation within the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus and the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricles. Mutations in the CDK6 gene can result in microcephaly 12, primary, autosomal recessive (MCPH12).
