Target Information
Rho-like GTPases는 다양한 세포 과정에 관여하며, GTP 결합 시 활성화되고 GDP로 전환되면 비활성화됩니다. Guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs)는 Rho GTPases의 GDP 방출을 촉진하여 활성화를 가속화합니다.
이 유전자는 RHOA와 RHOB 두 가지 Rho GTPase를 활성화하는 guanine nucleotide exchange factor를 암호화하며, 두 단백질 모두 골세포 생물학에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
유전적 변이가 골밀도(BMD) 결정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀져 폐경 후 골다공증과 관련이 있습니다. 또한, 다양한 아이소폼을 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
