Target Information
Vesicle-associated membrane protein-associated protein B/C (VAPB) is encoded by the VAPB gene located on human chromosome 20. It is a type IV membrane protein found in plasma and intracellular vesicle membranes. The protein forms homodimers and heterodimers with VAPA, interacts with VAMP1 and VAMP2, and is involved in vesicle trafficking.
