• Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 1mM EDTA buffer (pH 8.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
• Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
• A suggested positive control is prostate adenocarcinoma or fetal kidney.

Target Information

SLIT2 acts as a ligand for Robo receptors and plays a crucial role in axonal migration and navigation during neural development. Multiple cleavage products through alternate splicing have been reported for SLIT2 proteins. The C-terminal cleavage proteins are more diffusible, while the larger N-terminal proteins are more tightly cell-associated. SLIT2 protein is expressed in tissues such as fetal lung, kidney, and adult spinal cord.
