이 복합체는 히스톤 변형, 크로마틴 리모델링 및 Histone H2A의 단일 유비퀴틴화를 매개합니다.
PRC1 복합체의 다른 구성 단백질로는 Mel-18, Bmi-1, M33, MPc2, MPc3, RING1, Ring1b 등이 있습니다.
