Target Information
The neurotransmitter serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT) is involved in a wide range of psychiatric conditions and has vasoconstrictive and vasodilatory effects.
This gene encodes a multi-pass membrane protein functioning as a receptor for 5-HT and couples to G-proteins.
It regulates intracellular Ca²⁺ mobilization.
