Target Information
Cardiac Troponin I (Cardiac-specific troponin I, TnI, Troponin I)는 심근에서 중요한 억제 단백질로, Troponin C (TnC) 및 Troponin T (TnT)와 복합체를 형성합니다. TnT는 tropomyosin과 결합하여 troponin-tropomyosin 복합체를 형성하며, TnI는 actin에 결합해 근육의 얇은 필라멘트 내에 고정됩니다.
칼슘이 TnC의 특정 부위에 결합하면 TnI의 억제 영역이 actin으로부터 해제되어 myosin이 결합할 수 있게 되어 근수축이 일어납니다.
혈중 TnI 및 TnT 수준의 측정은 심근 손상 진단의 중요한 지표로, 협심증과 심근경색을 구분하는 데 사용됩니다. 또한 Cardiac Troponin I는 혈관신생을 억제하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 해당 유전자의 돌연변이는 가족성 비후성 심근병증(CMH7) 및 제한성 심근병증(RCM)을 유발합니다.
