Product Specific Information

The 30-H12 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD90.2 (Thy-1.2), a GPI-linked membrane molecule expressed by mouse thymocytes, mature T cells, and neurons in CD90.2-expressing strains (BALB/c, CBA, C3H, C57BL/6, C58/J, SJL, etc.).
Cells from CD90.1-expressing strains (PL, AKR) do not stain with 30-H12.
CD90 is involved in regulation of adhesion and signal transduction by T cells.

Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes (≤ 0.125 µg/test)
A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume.
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).
Careful titration recommended for optimal assay performance.

Target Information

CD90.2 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts.
Thy-1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neural events.
CD90.2 is an 18 kDa plasma membrane antigen expressed by hematopoietic and neuronal cells, connective tissue, fibroblast and stromal cell lines, and tumor endothelial cell lines.
In mice, CD90.2 is expressed on all thymocytes and peripheral T lymphocytes.
