The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Members of the LIM homeobox gene family, such as LHX8, encode transcription regulators that share common structural features. They contain two tandemly repeated cysteine-rich double-zinc finger motifs (LIM domains) and a DNA-binding homeodomain. LIM domains regulate protein interactions, while the homeodomain binds DNA. These genes are essential for cell type specification and differentiation during embryonic development (Zhao et al., 1999 [PubMed 10611327]).
