Target Information
GOT1 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme present in the cytoplasm, while its mitochondrial counterpart is GOT2. These enzymes are involved in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both forms are homodimeric and share close homology.
