Product Specific Information

The M1/69 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD24, also known as Heat Stable Antigen (HSA). This 35–50 kDa molecule is GPI-anchored and expressed on erythrocytes, thymocytes, peripheral lymphocytes, and myeloid lineage cells. CD24 shows variable glycosylation, resulting in heterogeneity in molecular mass and staining intensity among lymphocyte populations. Expression of CD24 is used to distinguish stages of B lymphopoiesis in mouse bone marrow. It has been reported that P-selectin (CD62P) binds to CD24.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume, cell number 10⁵–10⁸/test). Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 is excited by the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD24 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from pro-B cells in bone marrow to mature surface Ig-positive B cells. Expression is low or absent in plasma cells. CD24 is also found in most B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B-cell CCLs, and B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. It may play a role in regulating B-cell proliferation, maturation, and autoimmunity.
