Target Information
ITGA3 (Integrin alpha-3), also known as CD49C, VLA3, or GAPB3, is encoded by the ITGA3 gene located on chromosome 17q21.33.
It forms the alpha3beta1 integrin complex involved in neural migration and corticogenesis. ITGA3 expression increases viral infectivity in certain cell types and contains multiple potential glycosylation and cleavage sites. Recombinant ITGA3 is expressed as a 150-kD protein, matching the native form by Western blot analysis.
