Target Information
PDPK1 (3-Phosphoinositide Dependent Protein Kinase 1)은 AGC kinase를 인산화하여 활성화시키는 효소입니다.
PDPK1은 conventional PKC 및 PKC zeta를 활성화하며, phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 존재 하에서 Protein Kinase B (PKB, Akt)를 Thr308 잔기에서 인산화합니다.
활성화된 Akt는 Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 (GSK3)를 불활성화시켜 glycogen synthase의 탈인산화를 유도하고, glycogen 합성을 촉진합니다.
PDPK1은 인슐린 유도 glycogen 합성과 PKC 활성화에 중요한 역할을 하므로, 대사 관련 약물 연구의 잠재적 타깃으로 주목받고 있습니다.
