Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

ATG3 (APG3) is a conjugating enzyme essential for APG8 lipidation, a key step in autophagy initiation. Autophagy is a bulk degradation process of cellular proteins through the autophagosomal-lysosomal pathway, crucial for growth control and nutrient preservation under starvation.
Defects in autophagy may occur in tumor cells. ATG3 acts as an E2-like enzyme, catalyzing the formation of the Atg8-phosphatidylethanolamine (Atg8-PE) conjugate, which is critical for autophagosome formation.
This process is negatively regulated by TOR (Target of Rapamycin) via phosphorylation of autophagy protein APG1.
