Product Specific Information

MA3-057 detects phosphorylated histone H3 at Ser10 in human samples and has been successfully used in western blot applications.
The MA3-057 immunogen is a synthetic peptide conjugated to ovalbumin corresponding to residues 7–20 of Human Histone H3, which is highly conserved across multiple species.


Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it binds to DNA forming the nucleosome structure. Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histones directly alter chromatin structure or enable transcription factor binding. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo various modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing key cellular processes.
