Product Specific Information
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for paraffin section staining.
- Reconstitute with 0.1 mL of distilled water. For long-term storage, addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.
- Prior to reconstitution, store at 4°C. After reconstitution, store undiluted at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
- Rabbit anti-human Lymphotactin antibody recognizes human Lymphotactin (XCL1), the only member of the C-chemokine family identified so far.
Target Information
Lymphotactin (XCL1) is a member of the C-chemokine family that acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes but not for monocytes or neutrophils, indicating a regulatory role in lymphocyte trafficking and inflammation. It signals through chemokine XC receptor 1 (XCR1), is most highly expressed in the spleen, and at lower levels in lungs, small intestine, and colon. It is abundantly expressed by activated T cells (especially CD8+ T cells) and produced by NK cells.
