Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Human SPIN2 expressed by two IL3-dependent murine myeloid cell lines showed moderate antiapoptotic activity after IL3 removal but did not block apoptosis induced by doxorubicin. SPIN2-expressing cells were more sensitive to doxorubicin-mediated cell death. SPIN2 also did not counteract Fas ligand-induced apoptosis in Jurkat human T cells. Deletion of the C-terminal amino acids of SPIN2 reduced its antiapoptotic activity. In murine myeloid cells, SPIN2 overexpression slowed cell growth and increased the percentage of cells in G2/M phase, especially following IL3 withdrawal.
