Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily, functioning as a transcription factor with both ligand-binding and DNA-binding domains. The protein regulates transcription of the cytochrome P450 gene CYP3A4, binding to its promoter as a heterodimer with the 9-cis retinoic acid receptor (RXR). It is activated by compounds such as dexamethasone and rifampicin. Multiple alternatively spliced variants and isoforms have been described, though not all are fully characterized.
