Target Information
ADAM17 (disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 17)은 TNF-α의 막 결합 전구체를 성숙한 가용성 형태로 절단하는 효소입니다. 또한 JAM3, TNF 수용체(p75, p55), IL 수용체 II형, TGF-α, L-selectin, 성장호르몬 수용체, MUC1, amyloid precursor protein 등 다양한 세포 표면 단백질의 절단을 매개합니다.
Notch 경로의 활성화에도 관여하며, Notch 절단을 통해 막 결합 중간체(Notch extracellular truncation, NEXT)를 생성합니다.
ADAM17 유전자 변이는 염증성 피부 및 장 질환, 신생아 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
