Phospho-RBL2 (Ser639) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of RBL2 only when phosphorylated at Ser639.
Target Information
RBL2 (also known as p130) or Retinoblastoma-like protein 2 is a key regulator of cell division entry. It is directly involved in heterochromatin formation by maintaining chromatin structure and stabilizing histone methylation. RBL2 recruits histone methyltransferases KMT5B and KMT5C, leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression and control of histone H4 Lys20 trimethylation. It likely acts as a transcription repressor by recruiting chromatin-modifying enzymes to promoters and serves as a potent inhibitor of E2F-mediated trans-activation, associating preferentially with E2F5.
