TNF superfamily의 구성원들은 면역 반응 조절과 세포사멸 유도에 관여합니다. APRIL(A PRoliferation-Inducing Ligand)은 TALL2(TNF and ApoL-related Leukocyte-expressed Ligand 2) 및 TRDL 1a(TNF related death ligand 1a)로도 알려져 있습니다. APRIL의 수용체로는 TACI와 BCMA가 있으며, APRIL은 B 및 T 세포 증식, 체액성 면역 반응 유도, NF-κB 활성화 및 세포 사멸을 촉진합니다. APRIL과 그 관련 단백질 BlyS 및 수용체 BCMA, TACI는 자가면역 및 암 관련 질환에 관여합니다.
