Target Information
MAPK14 (p38 alpha)는 스트레스 활성화 단백질 키나아제(MAPK) 계열의 구성원으로, 세포 스트레스, 염증 및 기타 신호에 대한 다양한 반응을 조절합니다. 비인산화 상태에서는 비활성이며, Thr-Gly-Tyr 모티프의 이중 인산화에 의해 빠르게 활성화됩니다. p38 MAPK는 조직 특이성과 상위 활성화 인자 및 하위 효과기에 대한 친화도가 다른 네 가지 동형을 가집니다. TNF, IL-1, 열 쇼크 등의 자극 시 MAPK kinase-3/6이 Thr180과 Tyr182를 인산화하여 p38 MAPK를 활성화시키며, 활성화된 p38 MAPK는 ATF-2, CHOP-1, MEF-2 등의 전사 인자를 인산화시켜 활성화합니다.
