Target Information
SEPT6는 GTPase 계열인 septin 패밀리의 구성원으로, 세포질분열(cytokinesis)에 필수적인 역할을 합니다. 이 유전자는 11번 염색체와 X 염색체 간의 상호 전좌(translocation)와 관련된 소아 급성 골수성 백혈병의 한 형태와 연관되어 있습니다. 총 네 가지 전사체 변형(transcript variants)이 있으며, 세 가지 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다. 추가적인 변형이 확인되었지만 그 생물학적 유효성은 아직 명확하지 않습니다.
