Background
This gene encodes a GTPase-activating protein (GAP). Rho GTPases regulate various cellular processes by cycling between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states. This cycling is controlled by guanine nucleotide exchange factors and GAPs. The encoded protein acts as a GAP regulating two GTPases involved in protein trafficking and cell growth.
