Target Information
Tetratricopeptide repeat protein 5 (TTC5) is a member of a diverse group of proteins characterized by one or more tetratricopeptide repeats (TPR). Each motif consists of two anti-parallel α-helices forming a right-handed helical structure with an amphipathic channel that accommodates complementary regions of target proteins. Although the precise function of TTC5 is not fully understood, it is believed to mediate protein-protein interactions, similar to chaperones such as HSP70, HSP90, and other proteins involved in cell stress response pathways. This suggests that TTC5 may function through TPR motif-mediated protein-protein interactions.
