Product Specific Information

The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells during all developmental stages except plasma cells. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, which associates with the BCR, inducing tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and proliferation of B cells.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.8 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).

Note:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, and DAPI. Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.

This conjugate ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01), which improves staining performance. Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails or single-color controls (10³–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on all peripheral B cells. It acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating proliferation and differentiation. Mutations in CD19 can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression results in B cell hyperactivity. CD19 is also expressed in certain myeloid leukemia cells.
