Product Specific Information
- Membrane permeabilization is required for flow cytometry applications.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.
- Suggested positive control for IHC: Germinal center B cells.
- Rat anti-Human AID antibody, clone EK2-5G9 recognizes human single-stranded DNA cytosine deaminase (Activation-induced cytidine deaminase, Cytidine aminohydrolase).
Target Information
This gene encodes an RNA-editing deaminase belonging to the cytidine deaminase family. The protein is involved in somatic hypermutation, gene conversion, and class-switch recombination of immunoglobulin genes.
Defects in this gene cause autosomal recessive hyper-IgM immunodeficiency syndrome type 2 (HIGM2).
