Target Information
이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 리소좀성 시스테인 단백질분해효소로, 세포 내 단백질 대사에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 기질에는 콜라겐, 엘라스틴 및 neutrophil elastase 활성을 조절하는 alpha-1 protease inhibitor가 포함됩니다.
이 단백질은 근병증과 심근 허혈에서의 근섬유 괴사, 단백뇨에 대한 신세뇨관 반응 등 여러 병리학적 과정에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
