Ligand binding (e.g., EGF, TGFα) induces receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation at tyrosine residues.
Overexpression observed in tumors of head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, esophagus, and squamous cell carcinoma.
