Product Specific Information

The II/41 monoclonal antibody reacts with the μ heavy chain of mouse IgM and does not cross-react with other mouse immunoglobulin classes (IgD, IgG, IgA). IgM is expressed intracellularly during early B cell development and on the surface of mature B cells in bone marrow and peripheral tissues.

Target Information

Mouse IgM is the first antibody produced in an immune response and the largest immunoglobulin in serum. It consists of five heavy and five light chains, facilitating complement activation and antigen agglutination. It plays a key role in the innate immune response and is used in research applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
