Target Information

Olaratumab (IMC-3G3) is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody with antitumor activity that selectively binds the external domain of human platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR)-alpha with high affinity and blocks ligand binding. It consists of two heavy chain fragments and two light chain fragments. Studies show that olaratumab, in combination with doxorubicin, significantly reduces cancer cell proliferation and tumor growth. Olaratumab received accelerated approval (as Lartruvo) in October 2016 for initial therapy in adults with certain types of soft tissue sarcoma (STS).
