Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and is located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, is part of the Rel protein family and forms heterodimers with p50 or p52 subunits. Upon TNF-alpha stimulation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and activation of NF-kB. NF-kB p65 plays a critical role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
